I switched my scrapbook template for 2014 and I am so excited! I am keeping the digital Project Life template for my entire scrapbook! I am going to do 2 weekly pages and then extra pages for big events! It has taken me a while to get started (lots to learn, finding kits and templates I wanted to start with, where to start, refresh myself with photoshop, etc.). After a grueling first few days figuring out the basics, I have finished my first two pages! I hope to hop on here every month and post our pages! This is an easy way for me to keep this blog somewhat updated without having to do multiple updates.
I present week one of my digital Project Life scrapbook for 2014…
This has been a glorious month! You are finally back on a *pretty good* schedule and are such an easy going and extremely happy baby! You are so happy during the day, always smiling, and are never fussy. At night is hit or miss. Some nights are awful and some are good. But, no matter how you sleep, you are a delight during the day!
+ We have worked our way to an approximate 3-hour eating schedule, 6 times during the day and 1 at night, anytime between 1 and 5am. You go to bed every night between 7 and 7:30 PM and wake at 7:30 AM.
+ You still sleep swaddled and flat on your back. You are still in the basinet next to our bed.
+ You handled the time change so well, but I think it had to do with the fact that we were traveling the 3 days before, so your schedule was relatively inconsistent while traveling anyway.
+ You are in 6 mos clothes and size 2 diapers.
+ You weigh 14lb 10oz (34%) and are 26″ long (73%).
+ You miraculously started enjoying tummy time this month! One day I set you down and you didn’t roll over, and enjoyed it! You started rolling over from your back to your tummy too. It was actually pretty neat that your Daddy was home the first time you rolled over by yourself and he got to see it!
+ You have started pushing up to a standing position when we are holding you and you love standing in your jumparoo. You love your jumparoo and exersaucer. You love mirrors and smiling at faces, other babies in particular.
+ You really laughed for the first time this month and it was for your Mommy & your brother Jackson. Jackson can really get you laughing.
My Finny girl,
+ This past month was really rough. You went through a long growth spurt, about 7 days, and you were really fussy, eating almost every 1-2 hours around the clock, barely sleeping (2 hours or less during the day, in 20-30 minute increments) and fussing at night. Then very, very slowly, on and off schedule, you worked your way back to some sort of routine by the very end of the month.
+ You smile at everyone! You love faces, you love to smile and you love “talking to” and looking at other babies!
+ At your 4 mos check up, you were 12lb 15oz (24%) and 25″ long (71%).
+ You are wearing 6 mos clothes and size 2 diapers.
+ You started to reach and grab at toys this past month.
+ You are rolling out of tummy time as soon as we set you down. You really don’t like to be on your stomach.
+ You love to sit in your jumparoo, exersaucer, and lay on your play mat. You are mesmerized by colors and toys right now. You will sit and stare for extended periods of time.
+ You still sleep flat on your back at night and are still swaddled.
+ Your nicknames: Fin G, Finny, Finny Girl and Fin.
+ You are the happiest baby during the day, seriously all smiles. But at night, if you want to eat, you will shriek and scream at the top of your lungs.
* I re-read all my blog posts last night for Jackson and Wyatt at 5 months old and started feeling sad I am not keeping up for Finlay, so I am going to do a quick copy & paste from the scrapbook of what I typed up Finlay to catch up.
Today you are three months old and I can’t believe it. These three months have flown by! You are the sweetest, happiest, smiliest little baby.
A few things about you at 3 months:
+ You are sleeping great at night! Going to bed at 7:30 PM, and waking to eat once between 4 and 6 AM, then going right back to sleep until around 7 AM. You are still sleeping in the bassinet next to our bed for naps and at night.
+ Your daytime routine is still very inconsistent. You usually have two short naps and one longer nap. You nap the best and longest swaddled flat on your back. You will nap in your car seat, but not for very long, and definitely not through a sleep cycle.
+ You are eating every 2 hours during the day and cluster feeding from 5-7:30 PM.
+ You love Elvis the Octopus on your play mat, bath time, and being outside. Your absolute favorite thing to do right now is stare at faces and smile. You give away smiles to everyone, but you give the biggest and the best to your Mommy!
+ You started sitting in your exersaucer for a few minutes at a time this month. You also enjoy sitting in the bumbo seat on the dinner table while we eat.
+ Your neck is getting stronger and stronger. You can enjoy tummy time now for about 10 minutes.
+ You have started grabbing things. You haven’t reached for anything yet, but as soon as it gets close to your hands, you grab on and don’t let go. I am always finding my hair wrapped around your fingers.
